SPRAWL zero Soundtrack: All 17 Tracks by REVEL

Who made it

REVEL is Carlos Lizarraga, MAETH’s studio director and the game’s director. The official description calls the album “a deep dive into early 2000s electronic music … stitching together trance, psy, big beat, breaks, jungle, drum & bass, and beyond”. In CGMagazine’s preview, a team member said they “didn’t use any tools for the music that wouldn’t have been around in the 2000s era.” In the Quad Damage interview the director said the second level has a tune that will make listeners think of Fluke.

What reviewers said

Almost every review picks out the music. TheReviewGeek: “this stomping techno that kicks in during some of the bigger skirmishes, while atmospheric moody chords dominate the soundscape during quieter moments.” Under The Mayo: “Music awesome, usually. Sometimes it’s just a loop that gets kind of boring, but when they push it, it goes hard.” One demo player found the trance too loud by default. There is a separate music volume slider.
